PRVN staff utilizes SKM POWER*TOOLS FOR WINDOWS software to automate electrical design calculations. PRVN's team of electrical engineers have considerable electrical system modeling experience, both in OTI’s Electrical Transient Analysis Program (ETAP) and in SKM Power*Tools.
Our team has extensive experience performing short-circuit and load flow calculations and preparing protective relay coordination studies, this includes analyzing entire campus distribution and generation protective relay coordination for combustion turbines and large engine generators.
Additional modeling experience includes transient large motor starting analysis for very large medium-voltage motors, ductbank thermal heating calculations, cable sizing calculations, ground grid design, and arc flash hazard calculations. Our team is also responsible for the preparation and commonly the review of other engineer’s calculations to ensure completeness and quality and prepare the calculations and have detailed knowledge analyzing the results.
